Grammy Awards Interview Room for Access Hollywood

When NBC wanted a fresh new look for Access Hollywood, they asked Alan Barber of Background Images to find something that would transcend the routine of overplayed TV backdrops. "The Versa TILE was a perfect fit for the designers," Mr. Barber raves. "It made the set design incredibly simple."

Set-up takes a mere matter of minutes and programming can easily be done on any computer. The panels were built into a 2x6 meter curved wall that served as the show's backdrop.

With the help of the Versatility(TM) media playback software, Background Images created a palette of motion graphics that were easy to adjust and control. Custom content can be created or adapted in any graphics program to work with the panels. The range of colors possible with Versa TILE is a great complement for set lighting. Plus, the video control can create captivating looks by incorporating pixilated images.

The Access Hollywood designers were so impressed with the show's set that they decided to use Versa TILE for their Grammy interview room. "The thin profile of the tiles worked well in an area that did not allow for much space," Barber explains.

The flexibility of the tile is perfect for any space, from tight spots to enormous venues. In this case, the Versa TILE colors and images transformed the tiny interview area into a dynamic, vivid room that matched as the luminosity of the talented singers being taped there.
